Win Ratios

Transvaal (now the Lions) started playing rugby in 1889, and we've got a proud history, with a win ratio that is equal to or better than 50% against most of the other provincial teams in South Africa since 1991.

Only matches that qualified as official Lions matches are included in this stats, and it also excludes Super Rugby matches after 1997, as these were franchise matches and Lions caps were not awarded for them. It also excludes Vodacom Cup matches after 2001 and SuperSport Challenge macthes for the same reason (no Lions caps awarded).
