Lions
snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
Sharks take revenge for last year's Semi-Final
The Lions were cruising to victory against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday, leading 11-9 with about five minutes to go in the match, but then through a sequence of stupid mistakes managed to hand the victory to the Sharks. First Jaco van Schalkwyk kicked the ball straight into touch to hand the Sharks field position, and then shortly afterwards Keegan Daniel ran through some poor tackles to score the winning try for the Sharks. The Sharks eventually won the match 16-11, but the Lions will kick themselves for not managing to close the game out in the last few minutes.
